The inter-library loan services can be used when borrowing items that are not owned by our library from other libraries or institutions affiliated with our library.

Policy
  • Book Limit and Loan Term : 3 Books for 15 days / Renewal 1 time for 14 days / Overdue fines : KRW 500 per a day
  • Return : ~ 9 PM (in semester) / ~ 5:30 PM (in break season)
  • No avaialble to return book(s) over weekend OR self check machine

Direct Visit

You must have to check the approval status after you apply. Then visit to the other library.

  • KRW 5,000 of Round-trip delivery costs
  • Cost Support for User Group (Faculty : 15 times annually / Graduate Student : 10 times annually) *Note : There would be partial support according to library budget condition.

Request for ILL after checking the materials’ availability at RISS homepage (http://www.riss.kr). Then check for availability in other associated libraries

Sign up from the RISS homepage, and check for library approval before using the service. it takes 1-2 days.

* Note : Application materials before noon (12:00) on weekdays (Mon~Fri) are received and processed on the same day, Application materials after noon are received and processed on the next day.

Request Loan > Enter detail of item record > Submit Request

go to RISS and Login  ▷ Search Materials  ▷ Check Holding Libraries ▷ Click on Request Loan/Copy ▷ Cick on Request Loan ▷ Check Requested Items Record and Select Library ▷ Click on Request
 

 

After receiving a notification (SMS, e-mail) that your material(s) have arrived

  
Then please come to Interlibrary Loan Room on the 1st floor of KHU Library to collect the material(s).  

 

Notice

The direct visit Loan at 'Hankuk University of Foreign Studies' and 'Korea National University of Art' is available 2 hours later after you request 2 (9 AM ~ 7 PM on weekdays).

The book must be received by the borrower after the notification was sent before the due date. If the date is missed, the book will be sent back.

Please note that Inter-Library Loan is the loan service from KHU Library on the behalf of users, not an individual loan. So please read and use materials with a good manner.

If the material(s) are damanged and lost while using, user have to reimburse the same book according to the policy fo libraries provided materails.

The material(s) cannot be used for other purposes other than that for the borrower’s personal research.

After searching, you can request Inter Library Loan through RISS by clicking the title.

If you know the information of the application materials, you can apply for other library materials through the central library.
